IMAGINE

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

What does the heart seek?

"What does the heart seek? It needs neither knowledge nor powers. It aspires to happiness, the happiness it experiences as expansion and can only find in warmth, that is, in love. It is there, in love, that the heart becomes animated and is revitalized. And so it seeks that warmth everywhere, in all beings, while the cold kills it.
You can offer the heart all the riches, all the powers and even all the secrets of the universe, and it will say, 'No, that is not what I need, give me love. I want to be loved, but above all I want to love!' So, know that with love all your wishes will come true, because that love will awaken all the divine seeds in your heart and be food for them."

What dreams may come-part1

What is death?

''Truth is One, Paths are Many''interview with Sri Swami Satchidananda

DR: What is the most important thing you have learned?
SWAMI SATCHIDANANDA: Just be what you are, and let that divine force function through you. Don't rush -p; you don't have to become somebody. You are what you are. Accept it that way, and be peaceful.
DR: What is the greatest challenge you have ever faced
SWAMI SATCHIDANANDA: I don't think so far I have come to any challenges. I accept everything. I don't challenge anything. I just say, "That is the way it is -p; accept it."
DR: If such an important turn in your life was something which you had not planned, how important is planning
SWAMI SATCHIDANANDA: It's all right, there's nothing wrong in planning, because in a way we have a little freedom given to us. So with our individual freedom, we can plan things. But we should know that our individual freedom is limited. So if you plan something and it doesn't happen, learn to accept it.
SWAMI SATCHIDANANDA: I think St. Francis had a prayer, something like, "Lord give me the strength to do things for the good of humanity, and at the same time if I can't achieve it, give me the courage to accept it."
DR: If you had one wish that you could make, and you knew that it would come true, what would you wish for?
SWAMI SATCHIDANANDA: My wish is that people will always do the right things, say the right things, so that they can maintain their health, happiness, and usefulness in life.

The Awakening

There are those who
don`t know, and
don`t know that
they don`t know.

They are totally
innocent, and it is
for us to encourage
then.
Then there are those
who don`t know and
know that they
don`t know

They are willing
to know...teach
then.

Then there are those who
don`t know, but they
think that they know.
They are
dangerous,
avoid then.

Then these are
those who know,
but then don`t know
that they know

They are
asleep...

Wake them...

Then there are those
who know...and know
that they know

But...do not follow then...

Because if they know that
they know, they would not
have you follow them...

But listen what they
have to tell you...

Because they migth just
say something that
reminds you
of what you already know

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"

The Lord replied,
"The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you."
